Vancouver, B.C. (August 10, 2009) -- Roxgold Inc. (the "Company") (TSX.V: ROG) announces that Dr. Robert Pinsent, P.Geo has surrendered his stock options for cancellation effective July 17, 2009. Dr. Pinsent will continue to provide geological consulting services to the Company. The cancellation of the options leaves Dr. Pinsent as an independent Qualified Person for the completion of reports on the Company's mineral properties pursuant to NI 43-101.
