TJ Ridge Exploration Underway, Nevada Property Visit Completed; Results Pending

Vancouver, B.C. (August 14, 2009) -- Roxgold Inc. (the "Company") (TSX.V: ROG) announces crews have mobilized to the TJ Ridge project to commence a mechanized trenching program. Numerous targets will be analyzed over the course of this program including the evaluation of untested geochemistry anomalies and projected extensions of known mineralization.

Geological crews have returned from a review of the Company's recently optioned Nevada property. Samples have been delivered to Acme Analytical Laboratories with results expected in the next seven to fourteen days.
