Mr. Dorward has over 19 years of experience in the mining and finance industries and most recently served as Vice-President, Business Development at Fronteer Gold Inc. He was an integral part of the team that sold the large Michelin uranium deposit, acquired AuEX Ventures Inc., and successfully advanced Fronteer Gold's properties prior to the Company's sale to Newmont Mining Corp. for $2.3 billion in 2011. Prior to his role at Fronteer Gold, Mr. Dorward was the Chief Financial Officer of Mineral Deposits Ltd. from 2006 to 2009, where he was responsible for financing the construction of the Sabodala Gold Project in Senegal, West Africa. Prior to that, Mr. Dorward was the Chief Financial Officer at Leviathan Resources Ltd., an ASX-listed gold producer, before its acquisition in 2006. He was a non-executive director of Pilot Gold Inc. from 2011 to 2015 and is currently a non-executive director of Navarre Minerals Ltd., an ASX-listed explorer.
Ms. Garoute has over 15 years of finance experience, with a strong focus on mining and corporations with extensive international exposure. She was most recently the Corporate Controller at SEMAFO Inc. where she demonstrated active leadership managing financial reporting, tax and budget functions throughout the Corporation and its subsidiaries located in Burkina Faso, Guinea and Niger, West Africa. Previous to that, Ms. Garoute held senior finance positions at Canadian National Railway, MDD (a forensic accounting firm where she opened the Montreal branch) and PwC. She has a strong background in IFRS, public company reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and West African OHADA regulations. Ms. Garoute received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2000 and holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Université du Québec as well as a Law degree from Université de Montréal, and is fluent in French and English.
Mr. Criddle, a metallurgist, has many years of operating and project development experience in West Africa. Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer at Azimuth Resources Ltd. where he was responsible for resource growth and development studies. Prior to this he was the Acting Chief Operating Officer of Perseus Mining Ltd. where he was responsible for operations at the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana and the Definitive Feasibility Study for the Tengrela Gold Project in Cote D'Ivoire. Before joining Perseus, Mr. Criddle managed the construction, commissioning and operation of the Sabodala Gold Project for Mineral Deposits Ltd. He has also held a variety of senior technical roles at Placer Dome/Barrick in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Tanzania.
Mr. Bourassa is a Geologist with 20 years of experience in the gold industry in Africa and the Americas, whose experience ranges from exploration to operations and resource estimation. Previously, Mr. Bourassa managed regional exploration programs at the continent level as well as brownfields exploration at the mine level. Prior to joining Roxgold Mr. Bourassa was Director of Business Development at Golden Star Resources where he was directly involved in the due diligence conducted by Royal Gold which led to a critical investment. Also while with Golden Star Resources, Mr. Bourassa directly contributed to the discovery of the Wassa underground deposit, which transformed the company from an open-pit focused company to an underground producer.
Mr. Pick is a financial professional with over 10 years' experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, predominantly in the mining sector. He was most recently Vice President, Investment Banking at Cormark Securities Inc. where he spent over seven years working in the mining investment banking group. While at Cormark, Mr. Pick executed numerous equity financings and merger and acquisition advisory mandates across a variety of sectors including precious, base and specialty metals. Mr. Pick holds a Master of Financial Economics degree from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Mr. Richards has over 29 years of mining engineering experience at underground mining operations, working with companies such as Newmont Ghana Gold, Barrick Gold Tanzania and Ashanti Goldfields. Mr. Richards has occupied a broad suite of senior operational roles encompassing the development of new underground mines, operations and the expansion of existing mines within narrow vein deposits in Northern Canada, East and West Africa. In addition, he has undertaken leadership roles at bulk underground operations in Indonesia and Ghana.
